Before the game score was 1:0 in favour of S-Basketball, who won the first match on 29.06.2024 with a score of 92:60.
This saturday it was a different scenario.
Japan Raiders had some new players in their squad including Mohamed and Takuo, added by good players Takuma, fast Mitsuki and Harris. Akira was the captain.
S-Basketball team had a completely different lineup than in the previous game. Team leaders were Daumantas Kraujalis, Marwan Ziedan and Edoardo Buffin.
Team Japan Raiders started strong and took the lead in the first quarter 18:12. Team was playing very fast, physical defense (2-3 zone). Japan Raiders players managed to score difficult shots, on the other hand S-Basketball could not find the touch and were struggling in offence teamplay and defense. Half time score was 23:32 in favour of Japan Raiders. Both teams played good defense and did not allow to score easy baskets.
In the third and fourth quarter S-Basketball tried their best to catch the running away Japan Raiders and by changing their offense to 4 outside players, managed to close in by (-1) point. Marwan was able to hit some crucial shots and Daumantas got some important rebounds.
But eventually, Japan Raiders seemed to have better stamina, as S-Basketball players looked very tired after a come back. Japan Raiders were more precise in last two minutes of the game. First, Takuma scored a three pointer, followed by another Takuo three pointer, finished by Mohamed three pointer, which sealed the deal in favour of Japan Raiders 54:44 Score in series evened - 1:1.
